S KESHVAN | FILMMAKER

S Keshvan (@ Keshvan Sugumaran) is a Malaysian filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in creative industry. His passion in filmmaking began after his short story selected as the state’s best short story in 2003 when he was still in high school.  In 2008, he graduated with a degree in Cinematography from University Malaysia Sarawak. After  worked in broadcast station, he further his exploration in film arts, by undertaking specified programs, such as Professional Screenplay Writing in MindScreen Film Institute, India, Acting & Voice Modulation in Theater Y, India, and Directing Actors workshop at Los Angles, which is conducted by the famous film coach, Mark W. Travis. He worked as editor and cameraman for various television programs, documentaries, corporate videos, music videos, stop-motion animation. His continuous exploration leads him to visual effects industry,  and become certified VFX artist, from The Foundry, UK. His exploration in VFX application gives him new insights in moviemaking. His fourth short-film, The Return gives him high recognition as he won Grand Prize at Sundance Channel Short Film Competition in 2015. He also created a mini web series titled Aeval to explore indie production for social media content, which successfully gained significant attention. Apart from running film and acting workshops, he is currently developing his own feature film, scheduled to begin production on 2026.
